Along with the educational meetings, fun photo walks, and friendly social outings, 2013 has brought something to the club that is a first timer! Club T-Shirts!
We are excited to say that Photography Club T-Shirts are here and looking good. Members who purchased a shirt can pick them up at the first meeting of the semester. Didn't purchase one? No problem! Just become a dues paying member and we will do another order at the end of the semester! We are happy to announce that we have our room reservation for our second meeting of the semester! It is going to be located in the BA building room 126 Monday October 29th at 5:00pm. Our first meeting was a blast! There was a great turn out and a lot of pictures taken! For our second meeting, we will have a more casual get together discussing camera equipment and of course the on going battle of Canon vs. Nikon. Our special guest will be Tony Zampella, owner of Seeking Smiles Photography and the Orlando Photography Studio! He will be bringing cool advanced equipment that students can check out and talk about our field trip to the studio! Don't miss out! This meeting is also a chance, if you haven't already, to pay dues and meet new members! Good news photographers! Our first official meeting will be next week October 3rd at 5:00pm. It will be held in the HPA building in room 0363.
We will be collecting dues for the year which are $20.00 and discussing photography basics so feel free to bring a notepad! Also, we will go over the officer position which is opening up. If you are interested in running for Secretary you must let us know at the meeting. Any more questions feel free to post on the Facebook We would like to announce that Photography Club at UCF has a new advisor! His name is H. Adam Lenz and he is a faculty member from the Visual Arts and Design department. We are excited to start this new year with a new advisor!
Thanks Adam for keeping the photography club going strong! _Hey everyone. We will be hosting another photo walk but this time downtown on November 20th. It will be a chance for everyone to explore the downtown area and your cameras, (DSLRs are not required). This is open to anyone with a passion about photography, regardless if you are a pro or novice; feel free to bring your friends.
We will be meeting at Independent Bar at 6 PM and will walk the area until about 8 PM. There is no set plan for where we will go or end up, so if you might be late let one of the officers know and we will provide you with a number to contact us at so you can meet up with us. We will be going over the basics of photography as we walk, as well as, talking about some more advanced topics. We look forward to seeing everyone there. Be sure to bring your cameras, a tripod (if you have one), and any questions you may have! If you need a ride or can drive let us know. _This meeting will focus on metering and exposure.
